The Association has a long tradition of supporting past pupils sporting endeavours, especially in cricket, football and golf.

Golf

The Association normally has an annual gold match against the Old Tautonians. It also holds more irregular golf days in aid of local charities, such as Wessex Heartbeat.

Football

Sadly The Old Bournemouthians Football Club went into hibernation in 2008, due to a lack of players. Until that point, the club played in the Hayward Sunday League Division 3, playing their home games at Strouden Park. Some details can be found on the club’s website.

Cricket

The Old Bournemouthians’ Association subsidised the activities of the Old Bournemouthians Association Cricket Club, until the team disbanded in 2015. The club had a long history going back to the time when the first pupils left Bournemouth School in 1905. More information is available on the club page.

Bournemouth School Associates Cricket Club is a Sunday friendly team playing mainly away fixtures in East Wiltshire, Dorset and the New Forest. The team was established in 1969 as a staff team of Bournemouth School. It became staff & parents and it now comprises mainly people who have an association with the school.
