We are saddened to learn of the death of Brian Tomlinson (1940-48), who died last weekend. He played for both the football and cricket sides for the Old Bournemouthians and in later years helped to run the Saturday football team. Mr Tomlinson’s funeral will be held at Christchurch Priory at noon on Wednesday 27th May.

First that I have heard of this sad news. Been living in Seillans, France these past 13 years. Always had great respect for Brian during the 1960’s when I was playing for, and he was helping, the Old Bournemouthians football side in Bournemouth league. Not kept in touch these past 40 odd years. Condolences to family. Brian was a super chap.
